EA or EITA/EISA ….acronyms go crazy!
IT is riddled with TLAs and acronyms but one of the latest debates/email discussions on the “The Enterprise Architecture Network” LinkedIn group caught my eye. Linkedin group here:
Is it Enterprise Architecture, EA or Enterprise IT Architecture, EITA?!?!?! To understand further what all the fuss was about I came across this presentation from the Open Group:

IMHO, it doesn’t matter which term you use, it can all be put in to context and as long as there is a framework to work to this can form the basis for going forward. Maybe the discussion should be around what is the most suitable framework or how business lead a Enterprise project should be lead.
I don’t pretend to understand all these methodologies, frameworks and theories but definitely believe there is something to learn from them.
Anyway, interested to hear your thoughts.
